test(mdm): wait for the old daemon to exit and cover unusual binary paths

bg shutdown returns before the previous daemon releases its lock, so the
drivers now wait for the process to be gone before registering the login
start (the cause of a macOS flake). The lifecycle scenario also re-registers
with --bin pointing at a copy of the binary in a directory containing spaces,
quotes, parentheses, a percent sign, and non-ASCII, and asserts the daemon
runs from there.
