Keep a recorded kill as the stop reason when SessionEnd fires

hcom kill marks exit:killed before sending SIGTERM, and the tool's SessionEnd
hook fires in response. finalize_session overwrote the marker with
exit:<reason>, so the stopped event could say closed or exit:other instead of
killed, depending on which finalizer won.
